I joined an online dating site to try and find my soul mate. I had had a lot of failed relationships, and had a knack for picking guys that treated my like dirt. I thought that by trying out an online dating site I would be able to get to know the person a bit before meeting them, and hopefully I wouldn't attract the kind of guy I had been attracting up to that point.

The first guy I met up with just wanted sex and tried everything to do to get it. I was a bit angry that I had wasted my time and the first guy I met up with was a complete loser. Needless to say I didn't meet up with him again! That didn't put me off the online dating though, he was just 1 guy out of a possible few thousand that were on the site too.

A week later I met up with another guy who was truly lovely. He was very handsome and very kind. I couldn't believe my luck and thought that there was no way he would like me. We got on very well and at the end of the night we had a little kiss. The next morning when I woke up I had a text from him saying he had a wonderful night and asking if I wanted to meet up again soon. I couldn't believe my luck and didn't have to think twice abouttexting him back to arrange another date.

For the next few days I floated around, on cloud 9 longing to see him again. Each night I would log on to the online dating site and chat to him on there for a bit. Finally the weekend had arrived and so had our big date. We met up in my local and went for a meal after. I loved everything about him and after a few months of dating I was completely smitten. I absolutely adore him still after 5 years of being together and am so glad I joined the online dating site. After all the failed relationships I had had before meeting my partner I never thought I would be able to find someone I would spend the rest of my life with and be this happy. Since then, my father and some friends have found love on dating sites too and all have said that they sites are great.
